Mother and daughters missing after Bonela home collapses
While a man escaped the rubble, his family, including two daughters, are missing.
A FAMILY of four were in their Bonela home at Forfar Place when the structure collapsed at about 01:30 on Tuesday, April 12.
Advanced Life Support Paramedics arrived on the scene at about 04:00 to find the home in tatters.
Spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, Garrith Jamieson said three people were missing. Berea Mail contacted Jamieson at 07:00 for updates and he confirmed the family members were still missing.

“It’s believed that a sand bank at the rear of the premises collapsed onto this house. A family- mother, father and daughters – were inside at the time. Fortunately the father managed to escape, however, the mother and two daughters are missing currently,” he said.
According to Jamieson, SAPS Search and Rescue and eThekwini Municipality’s Disaster Management were on the scene.
