ONE woman was killed while another was left in a critical condition after a collision on the corner of Brickhill Road and Sandile Thusi (Argyle) Road.
The incident occurred at 02.00 this morning, Saturday, February 26.
Another person was left in a critical condition after the collision.
Advanced Life Support (ALS) Paramedics Medical Services together with Netcare 911 Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that two vehicles had collided in the intersection before one vehicle crashed into the traffic light.

“One person a female believed to be in her forties sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing more paramedics could do for her and she was declared deceased on the scene,” said Garrith Jamieson of ALS Paramedics.
“Another female believed to be in her fifties sustained critical injuries and was stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being rushed through to a nearby Durban hospital for the further treatment that she required. A third person sustained minor to moderate injuries,” said Jamieson.
The events leading up to the accident are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
