The KZN Philharmonic Orchestra returns to the Playhouse

After a long break, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing a four-concert summer season, live and in person.

THE KZN Philharmonic Orchestra is set to kick off their World Symphony Series Summer Season.

The Summer season launches at the Playhouse Opera Theatre in Durban on Thursday, February 24 at 19:00. The season runs weekly on Thursdays at this time, until March 17.

“Following the long months of isolation we have all experienced due to the Covid pandemic, we are delighted to launch our 2022 World Symphony Series with a line-up of international and South African guest stars who are set to join us in ensuring we bring our patrons the finest possible concert-going experience,” said KZN Philharmonic Artistic Director and Chief Executive, Bongani Tembe.

There will be free Tea and Symphony concerts every Thursday morning at 10:00 in the Playhouse Opera Theatre. Complimentary tea and coffee will be served prior to evening concerts and during intervals.
