VENDORS from Dennis Hurley Centre’s Street Lit project are preparing for Valentine’s Day with a special promotion to encourage romantics to buy books for their loved ones.
Monday, 7 February is Rose Day which marks the beginning of Valentine’s week.
On this day, it is conventional to gift your loved ones with roses, to show your appreciation and love.

The organisers of Books and Roses have been searching their stock for timeless and romantic classic novels – from cookbooks that will help you prepare the perfect Valentine’s Day meal, to travel books that will help you and your significant other, plan an exotic getaway.
They have eternal classics from Shakespeare and Jane Austen to humorous love stories like Bridget Jones Diary and Like Water for Chocolate.
Additionally, the books come in little packs tied together with a red ribbon and a complimentary everlasting red rosebud and baby’s breath.
Not only will you be buying a thoughtful Valentine’s Day gift for special people, but you will also be supporting a vendor who has experienced homelessness and will really welcome your patronage.
