IEB 2021 matric results: WATCH: St Henry’s matrics celebrate results

There were 55 matric learners enrolled in the class of 2022.

THE class of 2021 arrived at St Henry’s Marist College to collect their matric results today, Wednesday, January 19.

The school’s principal, Stephen Leech, said the class of 2021 comprised of 55 matric learners.

“Of those, 51 achieved Bachelor’s Degree passes and four learners achieved diploma passes,” he said

Leech ensured he was present to welcome matriculants who collected their results from the school.

“We are really proud of their achievements, notwithstanding the challenges of the year. They have come through with some fantastic results and we look forward to the class of 2022’s results, ” said Leech.

Brinley Botha, an Umbilo resident, was among the matriculants at the school. She received a Bachelor’s Degree pass with distinctions for business studies (80%) and maths literacy (89%).

 

“The exams were very challenging but not as bad as trials,” she said.

This year, Botha plans to study sports science at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN).

Sourav Pannalall, who also collected his results from the school, matriculated in the top 10 at St Henry’s Marist College with three distinctions.

“Working harder throughout the year got me to where I am now. I am going to study actuarial science this year,” he said.

He has applied to several universities, including the University of Cape Town, Wits University and UKZN.
