Zikalala calls on holidaymakers to remain safe

When Zikalala said as visitors have started arriving in the province, and he urged all motorists to take extra caution driving this festive period as he expects there to be traffic congestion.

“This period ends up not being a festive one, but a time of sorrow and grief for some families because of road fatalities. We do not want that. We are also warning those who are planning to commit crime in KwaZulu-Natal, that we will be everywhere. You will find us at roadblocks and other key areas, such as national roads, rail environment, ports of entry and the border line,” he said.

Clarissa Dammann I don’t think we need to wear masks when outside at the beach. We need the fresh air, salt water and the warm sun. It would be understandable if we are in a closed space, then definitely wear your mask.
Wandile Mbanjwa The Covid-19 cases are increasing and we don’t know what to do when we go out to the beach. It’s impossible to wear a mask while swimming, but it’s up to you and your family to take care of yourselves. I come to the beach in the afternoons to avoid a large crowds, that’s just one way my friends and I are helping to protect ourselves.
Rachel Sookool We are not happy with the current social distancing at the beach. It is too crowded on everybody is on top of each other and nobody is wearing masks or following the Covid-19 precautions.
Kayla Fynn I think it is safe to come to the beach when on weekdays because people come in large numbers during the weekends and that is very bad.
