Woman injured in Umbilo collision

The woman complained about severe back pain when paramedics arrived on the scene.

A WOMAN (20) was injured when two vehicles collided in Umbilo today, November 24.

The spokesperson for Emer-G-Med Paramedics, Kyle Van Reenen said when paramedics arrived at the scene, a  woman was still seated in her vehicle and complained of severe back pain.

“Advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilise her before she was placed onto a specialised stretcher, used for the treatment and prevention of spinal cord injuries. She was transported by ambulance to a nearby medical facility,” he said.

The cause of the accident is unknown.
