A WOMAN was robbed of her weave and cellphone by two armed suspects in the Durban CBD on Sunday, November 21 at about 11:30.
SAPS spokesperson, Captain Nqobile Gwala said Durban Central police officers were on foot patrol when a member of the community alerted them to a robbery at Medwood Gardens.

After receiving a description of the suspects, the officers sprang into action and searched for the two men involved in the robbery.
“The police officers spotted the two suspects and they gave chase. The suspects were caught and, upon searching them, police found a cellphone and a weave that belonged to the victim. The suspects were also found in possession of a firearm. The recovered firearm will be subjected to ballistic testing,” said Gwala.

Durban Central police officers arrested the two suspects, aged 23 and 24, for possession of stolen property and unlawful possession of a firearm.
They appeared before the Durban Magistrates Court on Monday, November 22.
