Locals flock to Musgrave Market

The market is held every Saturday from 09:00 to 14:00.

THE popular Musgrave Market never fails to draw a crowd and it was no exception when the Berea Mail, popped in to take some photos recently.

The market’s manager, Melissa Ketley said that since the country moved to adjusted level one, the market has been well supported by locals.

“There is live music, a picnic area, and a large variety of food options. We also have lots of stalls selling clothing, accessories, plants, books, gifting, thrift goods, hand-made crafts and lots more. We’ve really had great support from locals and we’ve also had visitors from as far as Ballito, Pietermaritzburg and Richards Bay come down to us.

“We are so thankful for the amazing support we receive each week as the market is a place where many small businesses are able to trade and to generate an income to support their families,” said Ketley. “The market has lots of open spaces and clean, fresh air. So it offers a safer shopping option in these Covid times,” she said.
