“I’m humbled, honored and excited to be given this opportunity to be back in Ward 31. My political path started when I was elected as the PR councillor in Hillcrest and KwaNyuswa, Ward 8 and Ward 103. I managed to build strong relationships with the community and I hope to do so in this area too,” she said.
Mckenzie said her focus will be to ensure effective service delivery is given to the community of Musgrave, Overport and Springfield Park.

“Residents in this ward should never feel excluded. Working together in peace and harmony is what we must always strive to achieve. I have already started with service delivery within the ward. I have also made it my duty to know and meet the officials and plan a way forward so that we have quick and efficient services. I am prepared, ready and willing to work with anyone who puts the interests of the community first,” she said.
