Young cyclist (11) hit by bus in Berea
The young cyclist suffered a serious head injury and advanced life support was needed to stabilise him.
AN 11-year-old cyclist was seriously injured when they were hit by bus in Berea Road in Durban this afternoon (Saturday, October 23).
According to Emer-G-Med’s spokesperson, Kyle Van Reenan, paramedics found the boy lying in the toad just before 14:00.

“Further assessment revealed him to have suffered a serious head injury and advanced life support intervention was needed to stabilise him,” said Van Reenen.
He was then taken to a nearby hospital. He was transported rapidly by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further care.
SAPS were on scene and will be investigating.
