Facilitated by Lauren Izaak from James Ralph Pty Ltd, the programme took place at the Iqraa Trust Knowledge Centre located opposite the Iqraa Trust Offices.

Administrative officer for the Iqraa Trust SA, Leanne Naicker said, James Ralph Pty Ltd feels it is their social responsibility to give back to education by offering free Casio Scientific Calculator training to teachers and learners (Grade 8- 12) in schools, colleges, universities, NGOs, NPOs, vacation schools, maths camps etc.

“The main focus is maths, maths literacy, physics, technical maths and technical science where they are taught how to properly utilise the resource and tool at hand to make teaching and learning easier,” she said.

In addition, Naicker said this interactive programme was conducted over a period of three days and covered a range of topics from the maths syllabus.

On completion of the workshop, the learners were awarded with the latest CASIO FX 82+II calculators which were sponsored by Iqraa Trust.
