School thanks Berea SAPS for ongoing protection

Speaking to the Berea Mail, Jacqui Pienaar, acting principal of the school, said, “Gordon Road Girls' School is appreciative of Berea SAPS for the additional patrols around our area and our school. The girls from Grade 1 to 7 made thank you cards and posters to show our heroes how important they are to us.”

LEARNERS and staff at Gordon Road Girls’ School showed their love and appreciation for the Berea SAPS who have increased their school patrols and visibility in the area.

Speaking to the Berea Mail, Jacqui Pienaar, acting principal of the school, said, “Gordon Road Girls’ School is appreciative of Berea SAPS for the additional patrols around our area and our school. The girls from Grade 1 to 7 made thank you cards and posters to show our heroes how important they are to us.”

In addition she said patrollers are sincere in their care for the community as they stop at the school to check in with their guards.

Pienaar expressed her gratitude when Sergeant Trevor James of Berea SAPS visited the school on behalf of their station commander. Sergeant James spoke to the girls before he received a certificate of appreciation and thank you messages.

Captain Poobalan Naidoo, spokesperson for the Berea SAPS said, “Sergeant James was invited to Gordon Road Girls’ School for a meeting where he was asked by the principal of the school to advise students on security measures. Afterwards, he was presented with an envelope from the school children who thanked Berea SAPS for their dedication and efforts during these trying times. In the envelope was messages from all the students from different grades,” he said.
