“The school is celebrating its centenary, 100 years of awesome education. This school started on August 2, 1921, in a building opposite the school which is now the education department offices. We are now in this beautiful school but we still hold the same traditions, values and integrities close to our hearts,” said Williams.

Principal, Bridget Williams holds up the 100-year-old school log book.

She said celebrating 100 years is difficult to express in words, but added that they have looked forward to this significant celebration for many years. On their 50th birthday, the school was opened for the first time when they moved from the previous building.

“There is so much celebration involved in a 100 years of tradition. We have seen curriculums come and go, and we have seen the demographics of the school change over the years. We have embraced change, but we have kept our old values and traditions,” she said.
