Volunteer group express gratitude to frontline workers

Spokesperson for the ASEZ WAO in Durban, Sihle Nyangiwe, said they delivered the ‘cheer up’ kits wrapped in light blue ribbons and stickers along with hearts full of smiles and joy.

THROUGH their Heart-to-Heart Relay project, members of the ASEZ WAO World Mission Society Church of God donated care packages to frontline workers at Life Entabeni Hospital on Monday, 28 June.

The volunteer group aims to assist people affected by various disasters and diseases. Through the relay initiative, the team sought to express their sincere appreciation and admiration to healthcare workers who have devoted themselves to fighting Covid-19.

Spokesperson for the ASEZ WAO in Durban, Sihle Nyangiwe, said they delivered the ‘cheer up’ kits wrapped in light blue ribbons and stickers along with hearts full of smiles and joy.

“The Heart-to-Heart Relay has been carried out in more than 13 countries globally including India, Japan, and the Philippines. The Life Entabeni Nursing Manager expressed that the good-hearted work of ASEZ WAO means a lot to them,” said Nyangiwe.

She added that despite the severe constraints of Covid- 19, the volunteer group will continue to provide encouragement and support.
