WATCH: Man steals metal guard rails on King Dinizulu Road

Some residents took to social media to share footage of the brazen theft.

CONCERNS were sparked when Glenwood residents spotted a man stealing guard rails on King DiniZulu Road (Berea Road) recently. 

One resident, Moya O’Donoghue​ said the issue was ongoing.

She said she has seen the man stealing the rails on three occasions- most recently on 30 May.

“On Saturday, 22 May, a cold and quiet day, I heard tapping on metal from my flat in Glenwood at midday,12:37. There was a man dressed in black clothes with a hoodie outside Berea Primary School in Berea Road in the fast lane. He was walking and knocking out the horizontal 3m steel barrier poles. He carried the poles, one by one over, the bridge towards Cato Road and I could not see if he went up or down Berea Road,” said O’ Donoghue.

One of the incidents was caught on camera.
