Suspects storm fast-food outlet in Davenport

Three armed suspects stormed the food outlet and assaulted the manager before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

NO arrests have been made for the armed robbery that unfolded earlier today a fast-foot outlet in Brand Road, Davenport. 

According to police, three armed suspects stormed the food outlet and assaulted the manager before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash that was stored in a safe.

Umbilo SAPS spokesperson, Captain Pumzile Makaula, said: “The suspects followed the security and got inside the restaurant and called the manager by name. They pointed a firearm and knife at him and asked him to open the safe. They took an undisclosed amount of money which was kept in the safe.”

Emer-G-Med paramedics attended the scene. 

Kyle van Reenen, from Emer-G-Med KZN said, the manager was assessed on scene and declined further treatment.
