Durban residents run the course at Durban Country Club

Kim Jackson encourages residents to participate in the next Run the Course event.

DURBAN residents put their best foot forward when they participated in Durban Country Club’s Run the Course event.

The timed trail event, which was hosted on Monday, was well attended by those who laced up to complete the 4km and 8km course.

Founder of the Run the Course event, Kim Jackson, said Lisa Collett led the field around the 8km course, in a time of 33 minutes and 35 seconds while others completed the 4km run/walk.

“The youngest member of the Collett family, nine-year-old Xavier, completed the 8km in 38 minutes and 48 seconds. Finally, after eight monthly full moon events, this evening our runners and walkers were greeted by a stunning pink super moon, a sight to behold from the DCC,” said Jackson.

The Run the Course event, which is held on a monthly basis, aims to inspire participants to adopt a healthy lifestyle while absorbing Durban’s scenic views.
