Help Umbilo CPF find missing woman

At the time of disappearance, Mendu was wearing a pair of blue jeans, pink/purple top and a light blue jersey.

 

UMBILO Community Police Forum is appealing for assistance from the community to locate a missing person.

According to Heather Roos, chair of the Umbilo CPF, Belinda Mendu, who is believed to be in her late 40s, went for a walk yesterday, 25 April, at around 9am and has not returned home.

“She went missing from Bulwer Park /Lena Ahrens Rd on foot. She said she needed to walk to clear her mind. So not sure in which direction or how far she has walked. She likes quiet places like parks or the beach. She has no cell phone on her,” said Roos in a Facebook post.

At the time of disappearance, Mendu was wearing a pair of blue jeans, pink/purple top and a light blue jersey.

A missing persons case has been opened at Umbilo SAPS .

“Her friends , family and members of the CPF and the Bulwer Safety Forum drove around the area, and around the beachfront looking out for her last night.  If you know where she is, please notify any of the following immediately please. Umbilo SAPS, Umbilo CPF 062 267 65350 or on Claudia 072 133 7905,” said Roos.

There have been reports that Mendu was sighted walking towards Montclair and then again near the  old airport.
