SA Legion starts vegetable project

The SA Legion has started a vegetable garden in an effort provide much-needed nutrition to those who need assistance in sustaining themselves.

DUE to the growing need for food caused in part by the current pandemic and the global financial situation, the SA Legion Durban Branch decided to be proactive and start a vegetable garden in an effort to provide much-needed nutrition to those who need the assistance in sustaining themselves.

The project is being undertaken with the kind assistance of Butterfly Promotions Community Project, which brought skills and experience to the project.

The initial project has been undertaken by three of the tenants in B.E.S.L. Court in Umbilo Road, who received information and guidance from Butterfly Promotions Community Project.

“We look forward to growing this project with the assistance of various organisations,” said Johann Kruger from the SA Legion Durban.
