Join Bulwer community patrols

The Bulwer Safety and Urban Regeneration Forum needs people 18 years and over with no criminal record to join the patrol team.

THE Bulwer Safety and Urban Regeneration Forum (BSURF) is looking for people to join its community patrol team.

The forum needs people 18 years and over with no criminal record to join the team. The group patrols as a team, and no one is expected to put their life at risk.

“We need people to help us to be the eyes and ears in the community. We take this seriously but also have fun on patrols. You will get to know the crime hot spots and get to see the areas in your community you didn’t know existed,” said chairperson, Heather Roos.

She said the BSURF needs volunteers with vehicles to volunteer three to four hours at least once a week or weekend, covering the area from King Dinizulu (Berea) Road to Alan Paton Road, and Umbilo Road to Masizi Kunene (South) Ridge Road.
