Robbers target Berea restaurant

It is still not clear what items were stolen or their value as police are still investigating.

BEREA restaurant, Durban Kota House was broken into on Monday morning.

The store announced the news on their Twitter page after they found the store damaged from what appeared to be an apparent break in.

“We’d like to announce that we’ll be opening a little later than usual today as we gather our thoughts, documents and (get) legal authorities involved,” they said.

The store, which is situated on 271 King Dinizulu Road, was opened in October last year.

It is not clear what items were stolen or their value as police are still investigating.

From the pictures, it appears their window was broken and the handle of the door was twisted.

“We send our apologies for the inconvenience caused and appreciate every single one (of you) supporting us. We draw strength from the overwhelming love that you’ve shown,” they said.

The Berea Mail has requested comment from the Berea SAPS.
