Guard tied up in Glenwood business robbery

It was ascertained that four armed suspects had forced entry to the business premises.

AN investigation is underway after a security guard was held up and a Glenwood business robbed on Saturday evening.

Armed reaction officers were dispatched to an alleged business robbery on South Ridge Road in Glenwood and on arrival, it was ascertained that four armed suspects had forced entry to the business, said DRK Tactical spokesman, Kyle van Reenen.

“The private security guard on the property was confronted and tied up by the suspects, while the men made off with numerous computers and electronic equipment,” said Van Reenen. 

However, he said the security officer did not suffer any injury. 

The scene was secured and handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
