eThekwini closes libraries for public use

The municipality has said it will communicate in due course about the re-opening of these facilities. 

IN an effort to ensure safety of employees, eThekwini Municipality has closed eight libraries and the museums due to circumstances beyond the City’s control.

Local facilities that are closed are Austerville, Botanic Gardens Department Library, as well as the KwaMuhle Museum.

The municipality has said it will communicate in due course about the re-opening of these facilities.

“eThekwini Municipality sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused and appeals to the public to bear with us on this matter,” said municipal spokesperson Msawakhe Mayisela.
