A TEAM of eco-organisations took to the Durban coastline on Saturday, 28 November to do a major clean-up.

Speaking about the event, Victoria Soutar from One Change SA, said the event was created for the joining of hands in the City of Durban.
“We aimed to encourage everyday citizens to adapt ‘one change’ in their everyday lives that will contribute to a brighter, cleaner future for our city. The event aimed at shedding light on the incredible work done by local environmental-based organisations and local heroes making a change in our city. Durban is busting with potential, these local organisations deserve the support from the public,” she said.

The community pitched in to help make a difference, along with the various Durban-based environmental organisations to blitz the beachfront in an effort to clean up plastic pollution and build awareness around the harmful events plastic waste has on the environment.
