Woman injured in Durban shooting

 Medics found the patient had sustained an entry/exit wound to her left arm.

A WOMAN was shot in Durban Central at around 2pm today, Wednesday, 4 November.

According to Shawn Herbst from Netcare 911, the company responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Sylvester Ntuli and Somtseu Roads in Durban Central.

“Reports from the scene indicate that an adult female, believed to be approximately 40-years-old, had been shot while waiting at the intersection. Medics found the patient had sustained an entry/exit wound to her left arm,” he said.

The woman was treated and stabilised on scene by Rescue Care and Netcare 911 paramedics before being transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.

“Circumstances leading up to the incident will be investigated by the relevant authorities,” said Herbst.
