Support this year’s Santa Shoebox Project

Shoeboxes can be dropped off by 5 November at the Ainsworth Attorneys Inc Durban office.

THE community is encouraged to support the annual Santa Shoebox Project as the festive season approaches.

The Santa Shoebox Project collects and distributes personalised gifts for underprivileged children throughout South Africa. The success of the Project can largely be attributed to its personal nature – donors give gifts of essential items and treats to children whose names, ages and genders are known. The minimum 8 required items are a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, a wash cloth, sweets, a toy, school supplies and an outfit of clothing – all new, unused and age-appropriate

The project is supported by an extensive network of volunteers who give freely of their time, energy and expertise without remuneration. This year the Santa Shoebox Project aims to reach its one-millionth shoebox donated and millionth child to receive their shoebox.

Companies and/or individuals who are interested in pledging a Santa Shoebox are invited to visit the website www.santashoebox.org.za, create a profile and choose to make up a shoebox for a boy or girl.

Conveyancing and property law firm, Ainsworth Attorneys Inc. encourages the community to join them in supporting the Santa Shoebox Project. Director, Shelley Ainsworth, said: “Once registered on the site and when pledging, elect the Durban Central location option as this is the location that we will be dropping off all of the donated shoeboxes on your behalf. Shoeboxes can be dropped off by 5 November at our Durban office and we will arrange for these, together with our team’s donated shoeboxes, to be delivered to the Durban Central collection point on your behalf.”

The Ainsworth Attorneys Inc Durban office is at Farm House, Suite B, 271 Cowey Road.
