Lower Morningside CPF appeals for volunteers

The Lower Morningside Community Police Forum is looking for patrol volunteers to assist with fighting crime in the area. 

Gary Manthe, chairman of the Lower Morningside CPF, said there was a need to increase vigilance in the area.

“We need more volunteers because the homeowners have been complaining that there has been no policing certain area. As residents we need to come together and do some patrols,” said Manthe.

Volunteers will do patrols in the area below Lilian Ngoyi (Windermere Road) east/ocean side, from Sandile Thusi Road (Argyle Road) through to Westgate Gardens and all the roads between this area.

All those interested can WhatsApp their names and address to Linda on 083 271 3577. Volunteers will be then added to a WhatsApp group to coordinate the patrols.

The CPF will also be conducting a clean-up in some areas this Saturday.
