Dead peacock shows up in Glenwood

Residents have spotted peacocks in their backyard and on the streets.

THE mysterious case of wandering peacocks around the Glenwood area is causing concern for residents.

On social media, residents have reported seeing peacocks in their backyard and on the streets. Last week, Beverly Ann Ford found a dead peacock on her driveway as she was getting ready to go to work.

“I think it got knocked by a car, tried climbing the roof and fell. That’s how it died,” said Ford. “What a shame that such a beautiful bird would end up like this.”

Ford said a man, said to be keeping a number of these peacocks, came and collected the carcass from her house. Berea Mail has tried contacting the peacock keeper, who’s identity is known to us, to no avail.
