Berea SAPS hosts awareness event

The event started with a motorcade from Munies Hockey Club field, which went throughout the area.

BEREA SAPS and partners Metro Police, the CPF and local security companies, hosted an event to create awareness on gender-based violence and rape, on Friday, 25 September.

The event started with a motorcade from Munies Hockey Club field, next to Durban Botanic Gardens, which went throughout the area.

Officers stopped at local universities and schools in the area to do awareness with students and learners on gender-based violence and rape, along with other stakeholders in the Berea area.

The Department of Community Safety and Liaison also spoke and handed out pamphlets to create awareness.
