With September being Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) Awareness Month, the launch of this book by author, Nivashni Nair Sukdhev, was very apt.

THE book What’s On My Mind? Making Babies was recently launched at the Durban Book Fair goes Hyper.

With September being Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) Awareness Month, the launch of this book by author, Nivashni Nair Sukdhev, was very apt.
The purpose of the awareness month is to help improve the lives of those affected by PCOS, to help them overcome their symptoms, as well as prevent and reduce their risks of life-threatening related conditions.

What’s On My Mind? Making Babies is a personal account of the award-winning journalist’s battle against PCOS and infertility.

Nivashni is a word warrior and mother – she balances her precious waking hours writing on behalf of the downtrodden or voiceless as a senior journalist, indulging her passion for shoes and shopping, keeping the man who swept her off her feet in a record 12-day romance happy, satisfying her bibliophile tendencies and being the mother of a priceless boy, Riav, who symbolises her victory against PCOS and infertility.

“There were several moments when I stopped writing because it was too painful to continue as I relived the anguish we experienced during those long eight years when we battled infertility. However, writing this book was also a reminder of the support we had during our journey. My hope is that this book inspires others to tackle PCOS and infertility,” said Nivashni.

The book can be purchased online on www.madeinchatsworth.co.za.
