GET ready for a weekend of movie fun! The movie magic continues at Nu Metro cinemas in KZN every Friday to Sunday, with the hottest new movie releases every week.

Under level 1 Covid-19 lockdown regulations, Nu Metro is now able to offer you even more movie showtimes and available seats to book – including the return of their popular 8pm shows. With the later curfew, and capacity limits increased to 50 per cent per cinema auditorium, there are now more options for you to select and enjoy even more movie fun at their cinemas.

What’s new at the movies?

SCOOB! (7-9PG HV)

SCOOB! arrives in cinemas this weekend! Scooby-Doo is the hero of his own story in the first full-length, cinematic, animated ‘Scooby-Doo’ adventure. It’s an epic adventure-comedy for the whole family, which goes back to the start of the beloved story of how he and his best friend Shaggy became two of the world’s most beloved crime busters. Scooby and the gang now face their biggest, most challenging mystery ever, as they race to stop the global “dogpocalypse.”

BREAK THE SILENCE: THE MOVIE (PG) 

BTS Army, your day has finally arrived! Since Thursday, Break the Silence: The Movie has been showing. Due to public demand, additional dates and showtimes have been added for a music event like no other – only in cinemas (extended to the start of October for a limited time only)! Break the Silence: The Movie takes you along on tour for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at K-pop superstars, BTS, as the band’s seven members begin to tell candid personal stories they’ve never voiced before.

THE HIGH NOTE (13 DL)

Grace Davis is a superstar whose talent, and ego, have reached unbelievable heights. Maggie is Grace’s overworked personal assistant, who’s stuck running errands but still aspires to her childhood dream of becoming a music producer. Dakota Johnson and Tracee Ellis Ross head up the ensemble cast of The High Note to bring you a comedy-drama set among the talent, fame, and fast-paced world of Hollywood’s music scene. See it in Nu Metro cinemas from Friday.
