Suspect appears in Durban court after shooting, killing man

The man died in hospital as a result of his injuries.

A MURDER suspect, who was arrested by Durban Central SAPS on 11 September, made his first appearance in court this week.

According to Sgt Zanele Khomo from Durban Central SAPS, this comes after the man was involved in an altercation at around 8.30pm on 11 September.

“A witness was drinking with other friends at the intersection of MacArthur and Russel Streets in Durban, when two men approached one of them, and an argument started over cellphones. One of the men went to a vehicle parked nearby, took out his firearm and started shooting at the others,” said Khomo.
