Matric learner injured in an alleged mugging incident

A SCHOOL boy sustained moderate injuries after an alleged mugging incident on Sandile Thusi (Argyle) Road just before 3pm this afternoon, Thursday, 27 August. 

Rowan Scandroglio, media spokesman, said Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find a boy, believed to be 18 years old, had been assaulted in the mugging incident while walking home from school.

The boy was stabilised on the scene before being transported to hospital.

“Events leading up to the incident are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further,” he said.
