City offers Covid business support

The Durban Covid-19 Support Tool offers sector-specific non-financial initiatives, repayment holidays, tax, rates and fees breaks, and loan and grant offerings applicable to Durban businesses.

FAR from being over, the Covid-19 economic downturn is expected to stretch for at least 18 months. However, there is help available.

The municipality has developed the Durban Covid-19 Support Tool which offers sector-specific non-financial initiatives, repayment holidays, tax, rates and fees breaks, and loan and grant offerings applicable to Durban businesses and spread across more than 30 national, provincial, local, public and private sector platforms.

If you are a Durban business or association looking for assistance, you can find them all in one place through this support tool.

This tool is a mobile-friendly innovative civic technology, developed by Open Cities Lab and The Durban EDGE in partnership with the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

It is designed to reduce information overload on Covid-19 business assistance by consolidating all interventions onto one easy platform.

The tool will be regularly updated with new interventions as and when they become available. To access, visit: https://bit.ly/3hJmMZq
