Suspected drug dealer nabbed in Durban police operation
Police seized 46 pieces of rock cocaine and full moons with an estimated street value of R10 000.
POLICE officers from Provincial Organised Crime Investigations Unit conducted an intelligence driven operation in the Durban Central policing precinct on 16 July, aimed at rooting out the drug trade.
Provincial spokesperson, Col Thembeka Mbele, said following an intensive investigation, police pounced on a 38-year-old man who was travelling in a vehicle, and a search was conducted.

“Police seized 46 pieces of rock cocaine and full moons. The drugs have an estimated street value of R10 000. Police also seized cash suspected to be the proceeds of the drug trade. The suspect was immediately arrested and taken to Durban Central police station for detention,” said Mbele.
The man will be charged for dealing in drugs and for contravening the Immigration Act.
