During the year 2015 to 2017, Ravindran Pillay, who was a storeman for the vehicle manufacturer, allegedly generated purchase orders for Robotic Harnesses from a local business.

Dhanapalan Pillay would then allegedly issue fictitious invoices.

Once the local business received payment from the vehicle manufacturer, funds would be then transferred to Sholyn Pillay’s account.

The three men appeared at the Durban Magistrate’s Court and were released on bail.

Ravindran Pillay was granted R2 000 bail, Dhanapalan Pillay was released on R10 000 bail and Sholyn Pillay was let out on R5 000 bail.

The case was postponed to Thursday, 1 October for a pre-trial.
