Celebrating special dads this Father’s Day

Local kiddies talk about why and what they love about their dads and how they plan to spoil them this Father's Day.

IT’S Father’s Day on Sunday, 21 June, a day when all special dads are shown appreciation and love for all they do.

Berea Mail asked local children a bit about what they love about their dads, and what they are planning to do to spoil them this Father’s Day.

Tyler Payne – Age 5.

“I love wrestling with my dad, running and cooking. On Sunday I am going to feed the dogs for him and the chickens.”

 

Katanya Naidu –  Age 5:

“I love my dad very much. He always plays and paints with me. He loves making funny videos with me. My favorite thing to do with my dad is play soccer. I am going to help my mum bake a cake for my dad for Father’s Day.”

 

Mason Aylett – Age 3:

“My Dad is super strong. I like when Daddy helps me to draw on the floor, he can make my name.  I want to make Daddy sausages and custard and pizza wrap for breakfast on Father’s Day.”

 

 

Meha Naidoo – Age 4:

“I love my dad because he is the world’s greatest story teller. I also love his bear hugs and silly jokes – they always make me laugh. On Sunday we will surprise him with his favourite pasta, a special card I painted for him and spend the day watching his favourite movies.”

 

 

Mehal Rampiar – Age 5:

“My dad says I am his Superman, he gives me the best hugs and kisses. He makes me laugh when he tickles me with his beard, and I love his knock knock jokes. I love drawing and playing soccer with dad. I will help mum make breakfast for dad in bed,with his favourite sausage, eggs, toast and coffee. I love him to the moon and back.”

 

 

Esther-Marie Padayachee – Age 5:

“I love baking and cooking with my dad. He likes making nice things for us to eat. He tickles me and makes me laugh. I am going to make a sweet flower for my daddy because I love him very much!”

 

 

Zoë-Grace Aylett – Age 18 months:

“Daddy is my favourite person. He swings me higher than Mommy does and he lets me dress myself.”
