Man stabbed to death in Durban CBD, 4 arrested 

Police responded quickly and chased down the getaway vehicle and arresting the four suspects.

FOUR suspects were arrested by Durban Central SAPS officers on 3 June for a murder in the Durban central business district (CBD).

According to Captain Nqobile Gwala from provincial SAPS, Durban Central police were conducting crime prevention duties in the CBD when they responded to a murder in progress along Anton Lembede and Joe Slovo Street around 3pm.

“On arrival they were shown the body of a 30-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. He was certified dead at the scene. The police responded swiftly by chasing after the gateway vehicle and arrested four suspects for murder. They will appear at the Durban Magistrates Court,” said Gwala.
