WATCH: Glenwood tennis club folk feature in music video

The couple released a music video featuring memberts of Windsor Tennis Club, on You Tube last week.

HUSBAND-and-wife musical duo, Wanine and Reinhardt Misselhorn are working hard on an album they are hoping to release in July.

Speaking to Berea Mail this week, Wanine said the sudden lockdown had meant the couple had to cancel a number of gigs, but this had given them time to work on songs for the album.

“We are about half-way through and hope to release an album in July,” she said.

Wanine was just eight years old when she first picked up a guitar and started singing.

Her husband, who is involved in sound engineering and video production, is also an accomplished musician and plays the drums and guitar.

“He started playing when he was 11 years old,” said Wanine.

The couple released a music video of one of the songs for the new album on You Tube last week.

“When it came to making a music video of the song Like You Mean It, which I wrote, I wanted to do something different. Reinhardt suggested we make a video with old rockers, but I had no idea where we would start organising something like that,” she said.

It was with the help of Lyn and Eric Grandemange who run the Windsor Tennis Club in Glenwood, that Wanine managed to get a group of the club’s members together who were eager to feature in the music video.

“Wanine’s parents have been friends of mine for years,” explained Lyn. “She’s such a talented singer and songwriter and when she approached me to ask if any members would be keen to be featured in the music video, we jumped at the chance.”

“We all had a lot of fun and the music video so far is doing quite well,” said Wanine.

In the video Wanine is on lead vocal and club members Eric Grandemange is on lead guitar, Joe Coelho on base guitar, Monica Mulder is on keyboard, Keith Mulder on drums and Isobel Coelho on vocals.
