QuadPara Association calls for donations
The organisation received numerous requests from people with disabilities for urgent assistance during the national lockdown.
THE QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA) has set up a relief fund to assist members during the Covid-19 lockdown.
This comes after the organisation received numerous requests from people with disabilities for urgent assistance during the national lockdown.

In a statement, QASA COO, Raven Benny, said 78 per cent of QASA members rely on SASSA grants.
“Our members were not able to go about their business for the past month and have a need for products to sanitise and to supplement their food budget. Most of our members are struggling to supplement their income and are no longer coping, facing severe economic, social and psychological stress. QASA launched an appeal to the public for support to help these members most of whom are wheelchair users and about 78 per cent rely on the SASSA grant as their only form of income,” he said.
As a registered Public Benefit Organisation, QASA will issue Section 18A Tax Exemption Certificates to donors, added Benny.

“The management board members have started to contribute towards a QASA Covid-19 Relief fund and hereby appeal to you to support us as we together address the needs of our members in distress. QASA values and appreciates each and every donation and is grateful for the generosity of every individual or company that contributes towards this effort,” he added.
