ON a beautiful day during lockdown, local writer Patrick Kenny was reminded of a story he’d written a few years ago and put on the back-burner.
Prompted to produce an audio version of “The Tower and the Tree” as a gift for those in isolation and on the frontlines of this emergency, he called on friends in the entertainment industry to help produce the podcast: Aaron and Lisa McIlroy, well known for theatre and film performances in Family Therapy, ADHD and Spud the Movie, as well as Alan Judd from Leopard Moon Studio.

Despite the technical obstacles, the Judd, McIlroy and Kenny families were able to pool their talents and contribute to this production from three different locations.
This delightful story is one of love, friendship and self-sacrifice, and suitable for the whole family.
The Tower and the Tree was written and directed by Patrick Kenny and narrated by Shannon Kenny, and the story was voiced by Aaron McIlroy as Tower.

Lisa Bobbert-McIlroy as the Mayor, Fiona McIlroy as Tree, Grace McIlroy as Rose and Kaylee McIlroy as Ms Deeds.
Alan Judd is the sound designer, studio engineer and composed and performed the original music, Sylvi Judd did sound effects and Ruby Judd was the cover illustrator.
