Beware fraudster posing as Chief Justice Mogoeng

Stakeholders, the public and the media are requested to report any such communication from the above email address or mobile number to the South African Police Service.

THE public is warned not to fall victim of a fraudster who is using Chief Justic Mogoeng Mogoeng’s name to solicit large sums of money from individuals.

In a media statement this week, the Office of the Chief Justice (OCJ) said it had been made aware of the fraudulent activity.

The fraudster sends emails from the following email address: executiveheadoffice@gmail.com and text messages from the number 0644622378.

Neither the Chief Justice nor the OCJ are linked with this email address or to the person claiming to be part of the OCJ.

Stakeholders, the public and the media are requested to report any such communication from the above email address or mobile number to the South African Police Service.

Any person who suspects that they are being scammed by someone claiming to be a judicial officer or an official of the OCJ is requested to contact the OCJ for verification. Enquiries can be emailed to enquiries@judiciary.org.za.
