The Green Hub is collecting two litre plastic bottles filled with rubbish which are used to reinforce the current litterbooms in the Umgeni River. The filled bottles will be used as a secondary barrier to prevent waste escapees from making their way over the boom and further down the river.
If you would like to help, drop off your two litre plastic bottles, preferably filled with rubbish, at the Green Hub office: 31 Stiebel Place, Stamford Hill, (Blue Lagoon) from Monday to Sunday between 9am and noon.
