This fraudulent activity has been reported in the Tongaat area, however the SPCA is unsure if other areas have been targeted.

DURBAN and Coast SPCA has issued a warning to the public who own animals to be aware of a company which has allegedly been administering false 5 in 1 and rabies vaccinations to pets.

According to the SPCA, RK Grooming & Products/Pest Control Pty Ltd (Rajen and Duven) has been injecting animals with Virbamec, which is used to inject farm animals for the treatment of parasites.

This fraudulent activity has been reported in the Tongaat area, however the SPCA is unsure if other areas have been targeted by these men or other people who may be carrying out similar activities.

The activity has been reported to the local SAPS.

The SPCA urges the public to be vigilant and ensure the health and safety of their animals by using a reputable vet or local SPCA for their pet’s inoculations. It urged pet owners to report any suspicious activity to the local SAPS.
