Police arrest four for selling fake tickets at PSL match in Durban

Four suspects were arrested between 3pm and 3.30pm at the gates of Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.

A PRO-ACTIVE approach by police who were deployed in and around Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday during a PSL match, lead to the arrest of four suspects.

Const Zanele Khomo from Durban Central said the suspects were arrested between 3pm and 3.30pm at the gates of the stadium.

“The suspects aged between 19 and 45 were charged for the unauthorised selling of match tickets. The first suspect was found in possession of twenty tickets, the second and third suspects had nineteen tickets each, and the fourth suspect was in possession of seven tickets,” said Khomo.

All suspects appeared in Durban Magistrate’s Court on charges of fraud.
