Napier Centre 4 Healing is hiring

A position is open for a marketing/fundraising manager.

THE Napier Centre 4 Healing is inviting applications from candidates for a six-month contract position as marketing and fundraising manager.

The purpose of this inceptional position is to co-ordinate the marketing and fundraising activities of the organisation.

The Napier Centre 4 Healing offers an after-care facility for street-dwelling substance abusers who have been through a de-toxification programme, providing them with a wholistic healing programme. This includes training for employment in order to give recovering substance abusers a sense of ownership of their own lives, together with purpose and hope for the future.

The Centre is open to people of all faiths, or none, is a project of an independent Trust and is rooted in Catholic/Christian values. The staff includes house parents and social workers who report to a trust registered an a PBO.

Among the requirements for the position are hands-on professional experience of fundraising and marketing, the need to deliver on pre-determined fundraising/marketing goals, a sensitivity to the ethos of the organisation and to the needs of the Centre’s residents, excellent written and communication skills in English, a working knowledge of isiZulu would be an advantage, ability to co-ordinate service-providers and volunteers to achieve the marketing and fundraising goals of the organisation, the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while ensuring quality is maintained, a valid driver’s license and own transport, a good understanding of Microsoft Office products especially Word and Powerpoint, the ability to work from home with own computer and internet access and the ability to network effectively among corporate, secular and faith-based partners and government, municipal and health care officials

In addition, include a piece of written work in the style of an email to a potential donor outlining why you think they should support the Napier Centre 4 Healing. This should be between 200 and 300 words.
