Adopt a spot in Durban

Residents can approach the City to adopt a piece of land owned by the municipality with the purpose of maintaining and beautifying it.

ETHEKWINI Municipality is encouraging residents to be a part of the Adopt a Spot and Adopt a Verge Campaigns.

These are processes where residents can approach the City to adopt a piece of land owned by the municipality with the purpose of maintaining and beautifying it at no cost to the City. Through these two campaigns, the municipality seeks to eradicate and prevent illegal dumping on vacant verges and open spaces by educating residents about individual responsibility through adopting and nurturing a spot.
