Share the joy of giving this Christmas

Raymond Perrier from the DHC encourages the public to support its various initiatives over the festive season.

CHRISTMAS is a time of giving and helping those less fortunate. Raymond Perrier from the Denis Hurley Centre encourages the public to support various initiatives by collecting food and toys to help families at this time.

“You can also assist the DHC in different ways. Volunteer on one of the days that we feed the homeless, just check in advance to make sure there is space,” he said.

The public can lend a hand with serving meals on 17 to 19, 21 to 26, 28, 29 and 31 December and 1, 2, 4 and 5 January.

“People can also help us by donating dry and fresh ingredients to help serve festive meals,” he said, urging people to contact Cathy first to find out what is needed: cathy@denishurleycentre.org.

Raymond said instead of buying a gift for someone, make a donation in their name to help the DHC feed people over Christmas. You will be sent a personalised card that acknowledges your generosity. To do this, email: raymond@denishurleycentre.org.
