Duo to appear in Durban court following fatal stabbing

The two suspects were arrested after being identified by a witness.

MURDER suspects appeared in Durban Magistrates Court this week following an arrest at the weekend.

According to Const Zanele Khomo from Durban Central SAPS, on Saturday, 9 November at about 4.30am, Durban Central police received a complaint of assault near Dr Pixley Kaseme and Joseph Nduli Streets.

“On arrival at the crime scene a man was found lying face down with a bottle wound on the left side of his neck. The man was certified dead at the scene. A case of murder was opened at Durban Central for investigation,” said Khomo.

She said on the same day at about 6.40am, the response team acted on information received and arrested two suspects who were positively identified by a witness in the murder case.

“The two suspects both aged 21 were arrested and they both appeared in court on a murder charge,” she said.
